It's a shame, but I won't return to this property unless the attitude towards guests changes.

It is a beautiful boutique hotel with warmly designed lobby, library/sitting room and breakfast restaurant. The location is super, in the old town across from the Thomas Kirche. The room was spacious with a small equipped kitchen (would be good to have a kitchen cloth/towel available), Important note! The view from outside is really very gloomy because there are no lights in the restaurant after 11.00hrs. Looks very desolate and unwelcoming, as if the hotel is closed. I would strongly suggest to keep the lights on to display a good atmosphere.

Found this hotel by chance and it was an extreme positive surprise: roomsa re spacious clean and cozy. Breakfast is made it fresh in the morning and the Moldavian waitress was extremely kind in explaining the menu and all the choices I could have. Highly recommended

Our new benchmark for awesome hotels. Everything about our stay was amazing. Location, service, rooms, breakfast. Get a room looking out over Thomaskirche if you can. JSB will look right back at you, but isn’t that why you’re in Leipzig anyway?

Insane value for money! Absolutely beautiful boutique decor and felt like luxury. Perfect location.

Fair price. Wonderful and splendid room. Gym is pretty well equipped (unless you are looking for heavy weights). The sauna facility was nice. Hospitality was great and the hotel is right next to Thomaskirche! Highly recommend and have no complaints.

Great hotel in a very central location. Tasteful interior and design in a „boutique hotel style“. Very kind and helpful staff, both at the check-in desk and in the restaurant. Very nice breakfast buffet: not too much stuff, but high quality and some unusual options (e.g. huevos desayunos). Attention to details such as a really good yoga mat in the room - still something rare.

The city facing rooms have impressive views on the church and the Bach statue. Excellent location to explore the city center. Breakfast is also neat with a choice between a la carte or buffet.

My stay at this hotel was pleasurable and easy. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Upon arrival we asked if our room was on the street side…the answer was no…but the girl working had a solution immediately, and we were able to change rooms with a couple who wanted a quieter room. The mini bar was free, the room was clean (except for dust under the bed, my only complaint!!!) and the bed was super comfy. I would recommend this hotel immediately. Thanks for the good service!

From the first moment walking into the lobby, I felt very secure and welcomed. The lovely person at reception made sure of that. Rooms are beautifully decorated , and are extremely clean . I am very specific about beds and here the beds makes sure to send you into great dreams ! Breakfast is generous with carefully chosen products ! Great fruits and breads .. perfect coffee served by a sincerely caring person ! All together this is the perfect place to visit this great city! I will be back in Leipzig and in the vagabond club Clt

Super friendly and helpful staff. They make you feel like you are at home! Location is the best in town in a calm area, with the hotelcafé/restaurant right in front of the beatiful Thomas Church. Rooms are spacious, clean and with very nice decor. We will recommend this hotel to everyone who wants a special treat in Leipzig. The room-price is very fair and the experience is so much better than the big hotel-chains. We actually ended up booking a longer stay than we initially planned, all because of the athmosphere on this hotel. Thank you very much Team Townhouse! See you next time. I have stayed here twice. High quality breakfast, great sauna (private for 2 hrs), very nice room with kitchenette which was great over Christmas when everything was closed. The best however are all the friendly and helpful staff- especially Franziska. Highly recommended!

Im here the 3rd time. Decided to come in future Business Trips always to this place.

The prices are absolutely in range for this central location.

The breakfast is awesome and the Receptionists are always friendly and available.

The only point I would mention is that the restaurant is closed at the moment but even for that they have a helping hand and offering you some snacks or some suggestions for good restaurants in 5 min range.

I am a very big fan of traveling through Germany .On this particular trip, I was reading the monthly Wohnen & Garden March 2023 issue, and I found a beautiful article on Frühling in Leipzig. And I told my husband let's go visit for a weekend trip. We stayed at the beautiful comfortable townhouse which is located in the center of the city . We took recommendations from the article ,The staff of the hotel is welcoming and friendly and gave us some great tips on what to do in Leipzig. We even got a handwritten note in our room to welcome us. Thank you for your kindness. We will be back one day soon.

This hotel is beautiful, very well located and service is wonderful. The Bach museum is literally next door, and the St. Thomas chuck is right in front. Leipzig is a beautiful city to visit with lots of cultural and shopping options.

I chose this hotel mainly because it is located right in front of St. Thomas Church (I am a fan of JS Bach, obviously), but the staying at this hotel was beyond my expectation. The hotel itself was like a piece of the music by Bach, and it was more than just staying at a hotel as a trip accommodation. The building, the interior and the atmosphere were all carefully and tastefully designed, and I could fully enjoy my stay in the beautiful city of Leipzig that is one of the historical and definitely spiritual cities in Germany. Of course, the personnel at the front desk were very friendly and efficient and made my trip an unforgettable one. Thank you again, and I would definitely stay at this hotel in my (hopefully soon) next trip to Leipzig.

Top location right there in the no-traffic city centre at Thomaskirchhof, opposite the church and next to the Bach Museum. Friendly and helpful staff. And superb rooms on the front of the building looking out over the Kirchhof at the church and Bach memorial statue. For those reasons, the best hotel room we ever had... We will go back and ask for one of those front rooms.... Superb and good value too!

Been here three times already. There is hardly anything more central and comfortable in Leipzig. However, our rating is primarily due to our experience with the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Oh, and there's a delicious breakfast too!

Booked a double room for the weekend over the hotel webpage. The location is great for exploring the city with many restaurants, cafes and shops around. The check-in was smooth and easy. The room was really nice, with wooden floor and clean design bathroom with glass and black stone tiles. Now to the basic needs: comfy bed, hot water and wifi. All exceptional except the Internet connection. The token system reminds me of early 2000s: it takes time to sign up, it breaks occasionally, it expires and at the end you end up having no connection at all. The other only negative experience was at check-out where I was politely asked to pay the city tax. Sure, no problem sir. Please, make sure to reveal the city tax during the booking process. Unless there's a way not to pay it, you must explicitly state it (I actually went back and try to book a new room online just to see if the hotel mentions any city tax, it doesn't). I liked the place and if I happen to be in Leipzig once again, I'll go back provided the hotel fixes the Internet and reveal all cost of stay.

Excellent stay and delicious food, comfortable room with a useful kitchen. Very friendly and helpful staff especially during breakfast when it was so busy.

One slight irritating aspect was having to re enter the wifi details everyone time we returned to our room.

Outstanding Service! I spent a week in Leipzig on business and appreciated the outstanding service at this lovely situated hotel with the Thomaskirche right outside the window of my quiet room. The services makes the difference when things don't quite meet my expectations. For example the sound system in the room was not that what I was expecting. On mentioning this to the night receptionist he said he'd try and find a solution until morning. He unbelievably went all his way to borrow a Bose high end sound system and bought a jack connector cable so I could connect my phone or laptop! This really is services. Bravo and thank you! Also I'm not usually a big breakfast eater (it is good in the hotel but I never eat anything like 18€ except a good coffee). So the waiter offered a basic breakfast outside of their usuals. I fully recommend this quiet, central hotel with a good restaurant "Weinwirtschaft".

Such a great hotel in the heart of the market. Right next to Bach museum and the church. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are nice and big. They serve a very comprehensive breakfast every morning and the cheese and bread selection is awesome!

The room we choose was a small one but it was very well equipped, anyway, to let any fundamental functions possible: to write, to work with the computer, to put everything in the duty place to be easily used, also in the bathroom. The view oon St.Thomas church and Bach statue was very satisfying and the location, as a whole very nice and near to everything at walking distance. The breackfast was quite good (no plane yougurt, unfortunately, but the express eggs where a plus. Only at dinner, once we had in the hotel, we found the personnel not really efficient, enough trained and with a real attention to the guests they were serving. I think you should invest in a better training of young people working in the restaurant. In any case, when we will be back in Lipsia we will be pleased to be back to Bach 14 hotel.

The rooms were clean and comfy, great location neat to the heart of Leipzig but not close enough for the Christmas Markets to keep you awake. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Also the attached restaurant was good but maybe overpriced.

I stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed my stay, I believe a hotel is only as good as the staff and the staff at the town house are exceptional , very welcoming friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very clean and modern, I even got a handwritten note welcoming me.

The apartment hotel was the perfect size. I was traveling alone, but I think the Kantate apartment would be great for a couple. And I was in 507. Right across from the Thomaskirche and Bach statue! And with the windows open, I would frequently hear the sounds of the wonderful musicians playing in the courtyard below.

The decor of the room is simple and elegant, the way I prefer it. The kitchen was adequate for preparing small simple meals.

The entire city is a musician's dream, and Arcona Bach was the perfect place to stay for me, as a lover of the music of Bach and classical music in general.

A few things I'd suggest:

Upgrade your internet service. I needed to make some calls to home via Skype and was not able; I had to go to the Starbucks or another cafe downtown.

I know the staff said they were working on it, but the air conditioning unit was not functional. I really didn't need it with the window open however.

The hotel is lovely and our room is perfect Th pe people at the reception are very kind and helpful. We had the opportunity the talk with the one who speaks Spanish ,unfortunately I can’t remember his name. Please give him our regards. It would be a good idea if the the hotel had more information in English since many tourists don not speak German If we ever go to Leipzig we would stay at your hotel. DANIEL ESPINOSA

Arcona Living Bach14 was totally awesome on every front: spacious, comfortable, immaculate, and well maintained room; super service from absolutely all the staff; great price; fantastic location. We've already made our reservation for next year:)

Beware ... especially if pregnant or of the wrong category

Extremely disappointing!

We arrived 14:00 on an August Sunday afternoon after a four hour trip to Leipzig and a walk through town from the train station. We were promptly told that check-in was 15:00 and we needed to wait the additional hour as our particular room was not yet finished. As my fiance is SEVEN MONTHS PREGNANT we asked whether any other rooms were available as she really needed to put her feet up and relax a bit. We were told that, although the hotel was not fully booked, we did not reserve a category of room that would allow us to be put into any of the rooms that were currently standing empty! While we understand that sometimes concessions can not be made, in this case we were dealing with a hot, summer Sunday afternoon in a non-sold-out situation AND a pregnant woman ... and we were basically told to hit the streets for another hour.

The staff could have really been our heroes ... instead they earned a rank in the zeroes.

And, for those of you curious as to where they were so intent at putting their newest guests, here's the trash/grafitti-filled view from our room.

There are MANY better options in Leipzig and, to think, we could have been in the Steigenberger for just another €20!

We appreciated the welcome from the whole team : attention and professionnalism. We like the Room n°109 : design, space, the view of the magnificent St Thomas Church's roof and the monumental statue of Johann Sebastian Bach. Excellent choice : the cultural atmosphere coming from the big Bach's manuscript above the bed. We thanks Matthias Schmidt, general manager, for the kindly gift we found hanging from the door knob on the 25th of december.

Comfortable Stay and delicious ala carte menu for breakfast along with buffet option. Located near Thomaskirche and one can stroll easily around the city 🚶🏻‍♂️

Great place. The only downside is that they don't refill your coffee pods! Edit: if you request from the front desk, the coffee pods will be refilled. Great customer service.

Tolles Hotel, das alles hat was man sich erhofft und erwartet. Abgesehen von sehr guter Lage, sehr guter Ausstattung möchte ich die Liebe zum Detail und die Freundlichkeit hervor heben. Hier zählt Qualität und nicht Quantität. Das Frühstück ist ein Highlight gerade qualitativ. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden in Zukunft immer hier her kommen. Wir hoffen daß sich die Qualität über die Zeit durchsetzt!

Wunderschönes Adventswochenende! Wir waren zum Adventswochenende im Townhouse Leipzig rundum begeistert. Das Hotel ist super zentral gelegen und sehr stylisch eingerichtet. Der Check-in war schnell und unkompliziert, das Personal jederzeit hilfsbereit und freundlich.

Ein absolutes Highlight war das Frühstück: exzellente Qualität, regional und frisch, ein kleines, feines Buffet kombiniert mit einer Frühstückskarte, aus der die Speisen frisch zubereitet werden. Sowohl Kaffee- als auch Teeliebhaber kommen hier voll auf ihre Kosten.

Einziger kleiner Nachteil: keine Parkplätze direkt am Hotel – allerdings berät das Personal sehr gut, wo man in der Nähe am besten parken kann.

Stylisches Boutique‑Hotel mit toll durchdachtem Design. Jedes Zimmer und jeder Winkel wirkt individuell, modern und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Mischung aus Atmosphäre, Komfort und Stil macht den Aufenthalt zu etwas Besonderem. Freundliches Personal und ein gutes Frühstück runden das Gesamtbild ab. Definitiv eines der schönsten Häuser in Leipzig – ideal für alle, die Wert auf Design legen.

Dieses Hotel bekommt eine 10/10. Die Lage ist super (wobei wir erst Bedenken hatten das es zu laut ist,vor allem mit der Kirche- aber nein, man hört innen nichts) Allgemein ein sehr ruhiges Hotel. Es gibt nur 52 Zimmer. Die Parkplatzsuche gestaltete sich etwas schwieirg aber das muss man in Kauf nehmen wenn man sich was in der Innenstadt sucht. (Kleiner Tipp, 2 Gehminuten ist das Parkhaus in der Zentralstr. da kosten 24 Std/10€) Nun zum Hotel. Lage Top. Die Einrichtung sieht sehr stilvoll aus. Man fühlt sich gleich wohl. Die Zimmer ebenso. Sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber. Alles da was man braucht. Wir hatten sogar eine MiniBar mit drin. (Cola,Wasser,ein Bier, ein Bier Mix und Chips) Kaffee für die Kapselmaschine und Tee (Normal muss man sowas überall extra zahlen)Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist das Beste was ich je gehabt hab (man kann etwas von der Karte bestellen und/oder zum Buffet gehen. Kaffee wird an den Platz gebracht. Alles frisch und lecker. Jetzt kommt Meckern auf hohem Niveau: Die Matratze war viel zu weich (evtl schon etwas durchgelegen) haben dies aber bei Check Out gleich mitgeilt. Meiner Meinung nach könnte es 1 oder 2 Haken für Handtücher mehr geben,das ist aber auch Ansichtssache. Es ist alles sauber dennoch sieht man überall wo lang gewischt wurde (auf Holz und Metall) Wir würden dort sofort wieder übernachten da wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt

Die Lage des Hotels war für uns unschlagbar. Sehr schönes, großes und sauberes Zimmer mit Blick auf die Thomaskirche. Kleineres aber sehr gutes Frühstück mit frischem Obst und frischen Eierspeisen.
